    PhD in Psychology from the University of Salamanca. Currently, she is a Professor in the Department of Didactics, Organization and Research Methods at the University of Salamanca, being deputy director of the same. She was Deputy Director of Teaching and Research at the Escuela Universitaria de Magisterio de Zamora (campus belonging to the University of Salamanca) during the period 2012-16. She has fifteen years of university teaching experience, lecturer in the Master's Degree in Disability Research, University Master's Degree in Teacher Training and Improvement in Ecuador and in the Doctoral Programme in Education, director of several extraordinary courses at the University of Salamanca. 

    Member of several research groups such as: the group NEUR 09- Autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, of the Institute of Biomedical Research of Salamanca (IBSAL); the research group of excellence of the Junta de Castilla y León; of the Recognised Research Group (G.I.R.) "Infoautismo", belonging to the University Institute of Integration in the Community of the University of Salamanca (INICO).  

    Team member in research projects funded through competitive calls by the Directorate General of Health and Consumers (DGSANC), EuropeAid, Ministry of Education of Chile, Ministry of Education and Science of the Spanish government, as well as the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, some of them still active. 

    Co-author of several books, book chapters, scientific articles and academic publications. Her research areas are related to the social field and education, and more specifically to inclusion, early care, neurodevelopmental disorders and quality of life.
